Zombirthday Slot Review
Zombirthday is a gruesome, zombie and birthday-themed online slot developed by Playson. The game sees players visit a spooky cemetery to join a zombie birthday party featuring plenty of undead guests, presents and unique food. The slot has a rather unique theme and has some fun gameplay features but is it worth playing?
Zombirthday in a Nutshell
Zombirthday is a five-reel and 10 payline slot that is set in a cemetery. The reels themselves are set on what looks like a gravestone and features various gruesome zombie-inspired symbols. You’ll get to play with a zombie chihuahua wearing a party hat, a bloody present, a brain birthday cake, a wreath and a zombie’s head.
The generic zombie with a party hat acts as the wild symbol, substituting all symbols except for the scatter. Landing a wild as part of your winning combination will also double your winnings.
A female zombie holding a martini glass acts as the scatter and landing three or more of these symbols will trigger the Free Spins bonus where you’re awarded 15 spins. During this feature, all winnings are multiplied by three and landing another three scatter symbols will trigger an additional 15 spins.
Zombirthday also benefits from a gamble feature where you can double your winnings. After making a successful win you’ll need to click the ‘Gamble’ option where you’ll be presented with a new screen. Here, you have to correctly guess the colour of a randomly drawn card to double your winnings. If you guess wrong, you lose your winnings.
The slot features excellent sound effects and great animations. Everything is presented and communicated clearly, making it easy for you to adjust your bets (From £0.10 to a max of £100) or to set up Autoplay for a certain number of spins.
Zombirthday, which was originally released in March 2016, has an RTP of 95.86% which is good for a slot game, though we have seen better.

What We Think About Zombirthday
We enjoy Zombirthday’s visuals and its simple but fun gameplay. While it doesn’t have as many features and bonuses as other slots released today, Zombirthday holds up thanks to its unique theme which we haven’t seen anywhere else. The animations are great, the sound effects are fun to listen to and the Free Spins feature helps make the game more exciting.
However, we’d only recommend this game to people who aren’t afraid of blood, don’t mind animated gore and enjoy horror. It’s great to play around Halloween or even on your birthday when you yourself can join in on the celebrations.
